MOHIA: 5th Workshop on MObile Human Interaction and Applications

  |   Workshops   |   No comment

Worldwide mobile devices sales have continuously increased over the last years, while at the same time “traditional” personal computers have shown a decline in their sales. Correspondingly, according to 2013 data, smartphones have reached their highest market share to date. As a result, smartphone technology is improving rapidly both in hardware and in software services. Their exceptional ability to “sense” the world through a significant number of mobile sensors including cameras, microphones, accelerometers, and gps’s, combined with a high degree of “portability” has offered them a distinguished position as human companions.

This special session aims in promoting and encouraging research efforts in the wide area of mobile-human interaction, covering a number of topics and software applications.
